Gwybodaeth bellach

A. E. Young was part of the 1st/20th Battalion which was stationed at Blackheath on the 4th of August 1914, as part of the 5th London Brigade of the 2nd London Division. Then, Young’s division moved to the St. Albans area before being mobilised for war and embarking to France in March 1915. And so, on the 11th of May 1915 the formation became the 141st Brigade of the 47th Division and engaged in various actions on the Western Front including the Battle of Aubers Ridge, the Battle of Festubert and the Battle of Loos, which is most likely the battle in which E. A. Young died.
