extract from The North Wales Chronicler and Advertiser for the Principality, 10/10/19, p.5: 'THE "LEINSTER" ANNIVERSARY. Our Holyhead Chronicle for this week contains a number of "In Memoriam" notices concerning the anniversary of the Irish Mail Steamer "Leinster." A year ago the Leinster" was twice torpedoed in a heavy sea, 14 miles out from Kingstown, and more than 600 lives were lost. Only the "Lusitania" had a heavier death roll of passengers.'
